COVID - 19

Whilst the current pandemic is in effect, we reserve the right to deny entry to South Beach B&B to any customers displaying Coronavirus symptoms. They will be asked to go home and self isolate, The customer has the right to re-book at no extra cost. and can return once they have been given the all clear. Any refunds will be at the discretion of South Beach management and will have to reflect costs incurred. This is to respect the health & safety of staff and guests alike.

In the event that any South Beach staff get Covid-19, any guests on site would be given the opportunity to leave, with a full refund on any outstanding stay. We would do our utmost to find alternative accommodation. Any future bookings would be contacted and given the opportunity to cancel without charge. Any monies taken in advance would be refunded in full. We would not be offering any sort of compensation in the event this occurs.

We will not be liable for anyone who believe they have contacted the virus on our premises, unless it is proven that South Beach staff were negligent regarding implementation of government guidelines, then we will abide by any legal recommendations that come into force.

Please Note: Due to the size of our establishment, we cannot guarantee social distancing in the corridors or stairways. It will be up to the guest to ensure that 'common sense prevails', by moving to a safe area, to allow recommended social distancing to occur.

Reservations.

Your reservation is made with Andy & Caroline King trading as South Beach Bed & Breakfast and represents a legally binding contract between you and South Beach Bed & Breakfast

A non refundable deposit equivalent to that of 1 nights booking (by debit or credit card) may be required upon your reservation. the guest will be informed if this is necessary upon booking - For a booking longer than 7 days we will ask for a 25% deposit upon booking, only refundable if cancelled 7 days or more prior to arrival date.

We accept Cash, Cheques, Debit and Most Credit Cards. We do not accept American Express, Maestro or Diners Club cards. Payment by cash, cheque and UK issued personal debit card is included in the prices quoted. 

Provisional bookings will be released within 24 hours if card details are not taken to confirm the reservation. Bookings can be reserved by a credit card, BACS transfer or cheque by agreement with the proprietor.

Please note: We do not accommodate pets (this includes guide dogs), due to the nature of the building it is unsuited to anyone with sight impairment and any associated service animals. 

Please note we do not take stag or hen parties.

Any variation or cancellation of the contract must be done by mutual agreement between the guest(s) and guesthouse. Failure to arrive on the day, whatever the reason, will result in full payment being taken from your debit / credit card for the full booked reservation, without further permissions.

We reserve the right to impose a minimum two day stay during high season May 1st to September 31st) and bank holidays.

Non-availability

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Losses/Damages etc

By entering into this contract you are authorising us to charge your debit/credit card for any losses, damages encountered and any additional charges during your stay with us at South Beach Bed & Breakfast. This may be charged after departure, but the guest will be informed prior to any monies being taken.

Our Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment by us.

Other than for death or personal injury our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.

We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control.

Arrival

Check in is from 16.00 to 19.00, but can be changed by prior arrangement. If you require access to your room earlier than this time, please call us and we shall be happy to discuss your requirements with you.

Departure

Please vacate your room by 10.00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Late departure can be arranged  - subject to availability - at an extra cost of £10.00 per hour per room.

Accessibility

All guests can come and go as they please during their stay : No curfew is enforced. All we ask is that you respect others privacy and  the due consideration that other guests may be sleeping when you re-enter the property.  

Cancellation

We reserve the right to charge for the full amount of your stay if the reservation is cancelled with 7 days of the arrival date.

If you cancel in writing outside of the 7 day period no cancellation fees will be due.

No Show

We reserve the right to charge for your stay in full in the event of a no show and no verbal or written communication is received by us prior to arrival.

Deposit

We reserve the right to charge up to a 25% deposit for stays longer than 7 days.

We reserve the right to charge for the stay in full, if booked within 7 days of arrival.

We reserve the right to take a deposit equal to one nights stay at the room rate required for any booking under 7 days .

Keys

Upon arrival you will be given a set of keys for the front door and your room. It is the guests responsibility to ensure that room/front door keys are returned at the end of your stay, Any incurred cost for the replacement of locks and producing new sets of keys will be charged for. 

In the case of late arrivals or if we are unexpectedly called away, your key may be made available via a key safe. In this case instructions will be made available for use of the key safe. You will be made aware prior to your arrival.

Non returned keys will be charged for and a £100 non-negotiable fee will be due.

Lost keys should be reported to us immediately and replacement keys/locks will be charged for and a £100 non-negotiable fee will be due.

Smoking

South Beach Bed & Breakfast is strictly non smoking and non vaping. We will terminate our contract with the guest immediately, if any guest is found to be smoking/vaping in the Guest House, they will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund or compensation. We also reserve the right to make a charge equivalent to one night stay for cleaning of the room and to charge for any damage caused. Smoking/vaping is only available to the front of the property, please ensure all cigarette ends are extinguished and placed in receptacles provided by South Beach Bed & Breakfast.

Unacceptable Behaviour

We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation when you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to the owners and/or other guests. Do not play media to unacceptable levels, that results in disturbance to other guests. Any threats or violence to any South Beach staff will not be tolerated under and circumstances and the police will immediately be called,

Pets

Much that we love pets, we do not accept them in the building. This is to protect the health and safety on guests and the condition of out rooms,

Data

Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on a secure computer. At no time will your information be shared with any third party.

We may occasionally use your data to advise you of special offers and promotions that we have available. If you do not wish us to use your data in this way please advise us.

Disabled Access

Please note:- due to the design and layout of of the site and rooms within South Beach B&B and also Fire Safety compliance, we cannot offer dedicated disabled facilities. We have no rooms on ground floor level and no provision of a lift. Therefore we will not be able to take bookings from guest with severe mobility or sight impairment issues.
